We had a great trip down to Charleston, WV. We were able to pick up our pizza and have dinner at New River Gorge. Everyone was able to go to the overlook and look down at the river that they will raft on Thursday. We unloaded the bus and vans and everyone is settled in their cabins. Everyone then went to learn about the theme of the trip.
The students watched The Last Sin Eater on the trip down. They discussed the movie. Mrs. Long read Romans 5:12. She talked about how the relationship between God and us is similar to the parent/child relationship. God has chosen us but He is waiting for us to choose Him. Mrs. Long talked about how she cheated in 6th grade and was never caught. She wishes that she was caught because then she could have asked for forgiveness and gotten over it. It is still with her because she never dealt with it. Our sins get harder as we get older. So we need to choose Him. You are on the verge of a difficult time of life - Jr. High. God redeems us - right now, while we were still sinners.
We finished out the night playing some games.
